Welcome to the Photographic collection of Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council. This on-line database contains a selection of over 2000 images from the collection held by the Cultural Services Department. A wider selection of images can be viewed on public access terminals in the libraries at Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Cleckheaton and Holmfirth Libraries.

 The search box below is for free text and date searching. To carry out a free text search type in your chosen search term, eg Transport, then click on ‘Search’ to bring up the records which contain a reference to Transport in their descriptive text. To carry out a Date search type the year into the search box, eg 1910 then click on ‘Search’. To carry out a combined subject/place and date search type in the search term and date separated by And, eg ‘Transport And 1910’. Always clear the search box before starting a new search.
